According to Men's Health, like other stars, Shelton's charm doesn't come naturally. Gwen Stefani, the singer's girlfriend, shared with Entertainment Tonight that the couple loves to exercise together. "He's my trainer," Stefani said.
In an interview with People, Shelton said he keeps in shape by running on a treadmill. While often overlooked, running on a treadmill has many benefits for the body and mind. In fact, just 30 minutes of running is enough to boost men's levels of the antidepressant phenylacetic acid by 77%. In addition, scientists from Harvard University have shown that running for an hour or more a week reduces the risk of coronary heart disease by 42%.

In addition to working out, Shelton tries to stick to a healthy diet. In the past, the singer often ate French fries and fast food whenever he was hungry and didn't pay attention to the time. He even declared that he "hated dieting because it made him feel like he was starving."
However, the broken marriage with his first wife became the motivation for Shelton to change. Not only good for his health, Shelton affirmed that changing his eating habits helped him overcome the shock in his life.
