The secret to success of an 80-year-old male supermodel

(Baonghean.vn) - Since entering the fashion industry in 2015, 80-year-old Wang Deshun has been dubbed China's "hottest grandfather".

Wang Deshun, known for his roles in Kung Fu Hustle and Heroes of Heaven and Earth, made his fashion debut at China Fashion Week in 2015 at the age of 79, where he wore a topless design and walked with a toned physique and long silver hair.

Representing good health, Mr. Wang has made the whole Chinese society ponder when they always use the concept that old age makes people useless as an excuse to give up.

In an inspirational video, he passionately shared: “Many people started to notice me after the fashion show. But do you know, to get to this point today, I had to prepare for 60 years.”

Born in Shenyang, eastern China, he became a musical actor at 24, started learning English at 44, and founded a live sculpture performance troupe at 49. After moving to Shanghai, Mr. Wang started hitting the gym at 50 and has never wavered since.

He asserts that even as we age, we must continue to challenge ourselves and always keep in mind that it is never too late to achieve our dreams.

“Trust me, potential can be discovered. When you think it's too late, be careful not to let it become an excuse to give up. No one can stop you from succeeding, except yourself.”
