Visiting and encouraging the officers and soldiers performing their duties at Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station, comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh praised and acknowledged the station's spirit of combat readiness and increased border inspection and control.

At the same time, the border guards here have paid attention to mass mobilization work, strengthening the traditional friendship with the armed forces and people of Laos, contributing to protecting territorial sovereignty, ensuring political security, order and social safety in the country's border areas.

Notably, over the past year, Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station has had many achievements in preventing and combating drug-related crimes and actively participating in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Emphasizing the context that 2021 is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels and the 13th National Congress of the Party, and noting that the epidemic situation is complicated, especially during the Lunar New Year, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc hopes that in the coming time, the collective of Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station will promote the positive results achieved, strictly comply with the direction from the Provincial Border Guard Command, and perform well the tasks entrusted by superiors.

He suggested that local Party committees and authorities pay attention to encouraging officers and soldiers materially and spiritually so that, despite being far from home for their common duties, they can still celebrate Tet happily and warmly.

The delegation also presented Tet gifts to the poor in Thanh Thuy commune - an area with a poverty rate of 3.19%. On this occasion, in coordination with Tan Nam Construction Joint Stock Company, the delegation of the province and Thanh Chuong district presented 50 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to support poor and near-poor households in the area to celebrate Tet, encouraging them to strive to improve their lives.

On the same afternoon, at the office of Vo Liet commune, comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh congratulated and acknowledged the positive results that the locality has strived to achieve in 2020.

The comrade noted that the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune need to join hands in building programs, implementing the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, selecting key and central contents to focus on directing. Agreeing with the goal of Vo Liet commune striving to reach the new rural destination in 2021, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc emphasized the need to focus on building truly sustainable criteria, creating momentum to strive to become a model new rural commune as the local goal set.
