Anh Son District Youth Union Secretary re-elected for new term

(Baonghean.vn) - Comrade Nguyen Trong Toan was elected to hold the position of Secretary of Anh Son District Youth Union, term XX, 2017-2022.

During the 2012-2017 term, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Anh Son district achieved results in many aspects, especially in political and ideological education, ethics and lifestyle, youth self-reliance, career establishment and volunteering in community life.

The rate of excellent Youth Union bases and branches reached over 60%, with no Youth Union bases classified as poor. During the term, the District Youth Union organized 22 free medical examinations and medicine distributions for 4,102 people; donated 1,858 blood units, and presented 4,640 gifts worth 1.5 billion VND to policy families, families in especially difficult circumstances, poor children, and disabled children.

Anh Son District Youth Union effectively maintains an economic development youth club with 57 members, many of whom earn hundreds of millions of dong each year.

The Congress also voted to elect the Executive Committee of 27 comrades and the Standing Committee of 7 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Trong Toan was elected to hold the position of Secretary of Anh Son District Youth Union, term XX, 2017-2022.

On this occasion, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union also decided to commend 5 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Youth Union movement.

The 20th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Anh Son district, term 2017-2022 took place over two days (August 8 and 9) with 147 delegates who are outstanding members in the whole district./.
