Vinh City Party Secretary joins the great solidarity festival with Nghi Kim people

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 12, on the occasion of the 86th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's traditional day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2016), comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee attended and shared in the great national unity festival in the residential area of ​​hamlet 3, Nghi Kim commune.

Also attending were representatives of the provincial Fatherland Front, city departments, commune leaders and cadres of 15 hamlets of Nghi Kim commune.

A large number of delegates and people attended the festival.

Hamlet 3, Nghi Kim commune is a residential area with 200 households and 763 people, the main occupations are agricultural production and self-employment. Implementing 5 contents of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" in 2016, cadres, party members and people of Hamlet 3, Nghi Kim commune have united to participate in economic development, actively helping each other to sustainably reduce poverty, improve living standards, and encourage legitimate enrichment.

The skit "Hit the owner's stick to beat his own back" of the neighborhood responded to the movement "Residential areas say no to dirty food production".

The residential area has done a good job of converting crops, service industries, developing production models, growing high-class flowers, ornamental plants, etc. Most of the workers in the hamlet have stable jobs, with an average income per capita of 2.5 million VND/month.

In the past year, the hamlet had no more hungry households, only 2 poor households due to force majeure, accounting for 1%. The hamlet has 80% sustainable houses and 20% level 4 houses. Regarding new rural construction, hamlet 3 mobilized internal resources to complete 200m of concrete road with a total cost of 100,000,000 VND.

The spiritual life of the people is also focused on improving. The cultural and sports movement attracts a large number of people to participate, 100% of households follow the regulations on lifestyle in weddings and funerals, 187 families (93.5%) achieve the title of cultural family.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the City Party Committee Vo Viet Thanh praised the achievements and positive results that the residential area of ​​Hamlet 3 in particular and Nghi Kim commune in general have achieved in the past time, especially the specific work of joining hands in solidarity to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas, bringing a prosperous and happy life to the people.
