The Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee inspects flood and storm prevention measures at key locations.
On September 4th, Comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee, along with leaders of the City People's Committee and relevant departments, conducted a field inspection of flood and storm prevention and control work at several key locations.

In order to proactively respond to the complex situation and developments of Typhoon No. 3 - Yagi, a working group from Vinh City, led by City Party Secretary Phan Duc Dong, conducted on-site inspections to assess the situation at blocks C2 and D2 of the Quang Trung apartment complex, the landslide-prone area of Quyet Mountain in Trung Do ward, and the Hoa Lam residential area in Hung Hoa commune.

At each location visited, Party Secretary Phan Duc Dong listened to residents' feedback on the current situation at key areas and the potential safety risks during storms. He also heard quick reports from ward and commune authorities on storm prevention plans and the emergency evacuation of households from dangerous areas in the event of heavy rain and storms.
Following the inspection, the Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee requested the Party Committee and the government of Quang Trung ward to urgently implement measures to respond to the risk of collapse of old apartment buildings, and to organize a meeting with residents to implement an emergency relocation plan if storms hit Vinh.

In the Quyet mountain area, the Trung Do ward authorities need to implement plans to relocate residents, requiring households living in dangerous areas to proactively evacuate and take safety measures, especially the 17 households at high risk.

For Hoa Lam hamlet, Hung Hoa commune, in addition to implementing the flood and storm prevention plan and urgently relocating residents from dangerous areas, the Party committee and government of Hung Hoa commune need to hold a meeting with the households soon to discuss relocating them to the resettlement project inside the Ta Lam dike.
At the same time, Comrade Phan Duc Dong requested that the Vinh City People's Committee urgently implement and review plans to ensure the safety of people's lives and property. Relevant departments need to coordinate well with wards and communes to implement plans and deploy forces to carry out necessary tasks when heavy rain and storms hit Vinh City.
The wards, communes, and relevant departments need to organize public meetings to quickly implement plans and strategies for the resettlement project, ensuring that people have safer living conditions whenever storms and heavy rains occur.
