The German Industry and Commerce Association and SHIMIZU Company visited Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh and reported on the strategic promotion plan to boost investment opportunities for German enterprises in Vietnam.
Welcoming the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of a number of relevant departments, branches and units. On the side of the delegation of the German Industry and Commerce Association, there was Mr. Marko Walde - Chairman of the German Business Association in Vietnam. Also accompanying were representatives of SHIMIZU Japan Company and related individuals. |
Expressing his joy at receiving the delegation, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh introduced to investors from Germany and Japan some features of Nghe An, the province with the largest area in the country.
In addition, Nghe An also has a system of airports, seaports, and the North-South railway. In the near future, the Vietnamese and Lao governments will build the Hanoi-Vientiane expressway. In Nghe An province, this expressway will pass through Thanh Thuy Border Gate, contributing to connecting and developing socio-economic exchanges between Vietnam and Laos, Southeast Asian countries, including Nghe An.
The Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also emphasized that Nghe An has recently invested heavily in infrastructure to serve businesses coming to the province. Currently, Nghe An is in the initial stages of development, so the province has many preferential policies on investment. For Vinh City, the German Government has previously supported the city with relatively good planning, so the infrastructure development is quite synchronous, contributing significantly to future development.
Mr. Marko Walde expressed his pleasure to come to Nghe An. He said that the members of the delegation have worked in Vietnam for quite a long time, but this is the first time the delegation has come to Nghe An. In the coming time, the delegation will learn and have more specific discussions about investment cooperation in Nghe An.
The representative of SHIMIZU Japan Company also expressed the desire to make more breakthrough investments in Nghe An, including the construction and investment of infrastructure in industrial parks. In addition, the company will also promote attracting more investors from Japan to Nghe An and hopes to have more and more close cooperation steps with Nghe An province as well as related departments and agencies.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh thanked the goodwill of the investors of the working group; expressed that Nghe An is looking forward to more investment projects from Germany and the Japanese company SHIMIZU. He said that the leaders of Nghe An province have great confidence in the seriousness and scientific and technical level of investors from Germany as well as Japan; and committed that Nghe An will provide maximum support to businesses investing in Nghe An.
The Provincial Party Secretary suggested that after this meeting, the delegation take some time to discuss with relevant departments and agencies to learn more specifically about the investment environment in Nghe An, or conduct field surveys in localities.
Mr. Marko and the representative of the Japanese company also expressed their desire to survey some locations in Nghe An, especially seaports. In the coming time, the delegation will have specific working steps with related units to quickly achieve investment steps in Nghe An.
