(Baonghean.vn) - On September 24th, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, presented two savings passbooks and gifts to the family of Dang Thi Huyen Trang, Hamlet 14, Nghi Lien Commune, Vinh City.

Accompanying them was Comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper.

Trang has a tragic background. A year ago, she and her two younger siblings were orphaned and left without care when, within 10 months, both their parents passed away from cancer. Despite her difficult family circumstances, Trang has strived to excel in her studies and, in the recent entrance exam, she was admitted to the Faculty of Law at Vinh University.

Trang received her acceptance letter but couldn't enroll due to her family's difficult circumstances. Knowing Trang's unfortunate situation, several philanthropists and social organizations encouraged and helped her to enroll and gradually overcome her difficulties.

On the afternoon of September 24th, the Provincial Party Secretary and the Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper visited Trang's home, presenting her with two savings passbooks and gifts to help her continue attending school. Each savings passbook is worth 5 million VND, a sum drawn from the royalties of the Provincial Party Secretary and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Xuan Duong, published in Nghe An Newspaper.

Presenting the savings passbook to Trang, the Provincial Party Secretary and the Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper encouraged the children to strive to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies. “Going to school is the shortest and fastest way for Trang and the other children to overcome their current difficulties. The local government, the community, and their relatives will be responsible for helping them on their journey to school in the future,” the Provincial Party Secretary told Trang and the other children.
