Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station is assigned to manage and protect the border area bordering Bolikhamxay province, Laos. Over the years, the Command Board of the station has always implemented synchronous border protection solutions; advised local Party committees and authorities at all levels; coordinated with forces stationed in the area, firmly protecting the national border security and sovereignty in the area under its responsibility.

The station also regularly organizes patrols and coordinates with Lao border guards to conduct periodic bilateral patrols; coordinates with militia forces and local departments and agencies to organize patrols, clear the border system, border markers, and protect the border.

The unit also closely combines patrolling to protect territorial sovereignty and close the border with forest management and protection, fighting and preventing all types of crimes, maintaining political security and social order and safety on the border and in the area under its responsibility.

In 2017, the station presided over and coordinated with functional forces to detect, complete records, and handle 20 cases with 8 subjects related to illegal exploitation of forest products and use of weapons...

Along with the above activities, Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station focuses on implementing many measures to effectively inspect and control people, vehicles and goods passing through the border gate conveniently and safely; strengthening the solidarity and friendship with the authorities and people of Xaychamphon district, Bolikhamxay province and the border protection forces of Laos.

The station actively coordinates with local authorities to propagate, educate, and raise awareness among cadres and people of border policies and laws; at the same time, participates in implementing local political tasks such as rural construction, economic development, and poverty reduction.

Visiting, presenting gifts and wishing a happy new year to officers and soldiers of Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics highly appreciated the results that the unit has achieved in recent times.

Sharing the difficulties and hardships in carrying out the tasks, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang hopes that the officers and soldiers will continue to promote the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the border guards, and the unit will strive to successfully complete the tasks of 2018, building a strong unit and a model border post.

At the same time, the unit needs to closely monitor the area, grasp the situation and proactively handle border issues in a timely manner, firmly protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland; take care of foreign affairs with local authorities and border protection forces of Laos; actively fight against all types of crimes, ensure security and order in border areas.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang also requested the station's Command Board to take care of political ideology education and political courage for officers and soldiers, ensuring that they meet the requirements of the assigned tasks; and pay attention to the work of the military rear.

The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics also requested the station to raise vigilance, promptly handle the situation, and contribute to ensuring peace for people to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet.
