G. and N. were each fined 5 million VND for providing false information on Facebook.
On the evening of August 13, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Quang Nam province announced that the Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police had just issued a decision to administratively fine NTKG (born in 1989, residing in Nam Phuoc town, Duy Xuyen district) and TNN (born in 1992, residing in An Son ward, Tam Ky city) 5 million VND each for providing false information on social networks; at the same time, forced to remove fabricated and false information on their personal Facebook pages.
Previously, G. used his personal Facebook account to post articles with incorrect content about the characteristics of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and shared signs, remedies, and ways to prevent and fight the disease without following the announcement of the Ministry of Health.
