Biden has no regrets about not shooting down Chinese balloon sooner

In an interview with Noticias Telemundo, President Biden said he had no regrets about not shooting down the balloon sooner.
"It's not a serious violation. I mean... it's absolutely a violation of international law. It's our airspace. And once we're in our airspace, we can do what we want," he added.
According to the White House owner, US military officers were worried that if they shot down the balloon over land, its debris could fall on populated areas. He emphasized: "This thing is huge. What if it falls on a rural school? So I told them that as soon as they could shoot it down, shoot it. They made a wise decision. They shot it down over the water, and they recovered most of the debris of the balloon."
