"The South China Sea is in turmoil" - a patriotic song by an overseas Vietnamese.

(Baonghean) - He said that the song is an expression of love for his beloved homeland, Vietnam, and also clearly shows his indignation at China's arrogant act of illegally placing the Haiyang 981 oil rig in Vietnam's exclusive economic zone and continental shelf.

As a son of Central Vietnam who moved with his family to a new land in Southern Germany at the young age of 10, Pham Khanh Nam's love for his homeland, childhood memories, and family traditions always remind him of Vietnam. Because that is where his ancestors were born and raised – that's what his parents told him on the first day he set foot on this new land to experience life.

"The East Sea Rises" is a song written out of love for his homeland and country... Because, according to him, only those far from home can truly understand the longing for home, no matter how convenient and modern life may be in a new land, his heart always remembers and longs for his homeland. The love and longing for home are intense, but the indignation of those living abroad at China's arrogant actions is equally powerful. Therefore, after finishing the lyrics of "The East Sea Rises," Khánh Nam immediately called back to Vietnam that night to share it with his friend, Như Thuấn, a musician, and asked him to arrange and orchestrate the song. After hearing Khánh Nam's story, musician Như Thuấn deeply appreciated his friend's feelings and those of the overseas Vietnamese community. Despite being very busy with many projects and preparing for his graduation exam next year, he joined Khánh Nam in composing the song. The song is performed by singer Phúc Tiệp. Currently, Phuc Tiep is a lecturer in the Vocal Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, winner of the Second Prize at the 2007 Sao Mai Singing Contest, and Second Prize at the National Opera and Ballet Competition. He is also always enthusiastic about performing at charity events to raise funds for people in remote areas and those suffering from serious illnesses. With the full support of singer Phuc Tiep and his musician friend, three days later, on the day of the second march organized by the Vietnamese expatriate community in Germany, "The East Sea Rises" took to the streets to join the large community of expatriates, speaking out against China.

Pham Khanh Nam is known to the Vietnamese expatriate community in Germany as a role model for young people studying, working, and living in Germany. He is also known as the Editor-in-Chief of Huong Viet Magazine, a highly reputable online Vietnamese-language newspaper in Germany. The newspaper's content serves as a cultural bridge between Vietnam and Germany, always updating and publishing the most up-to-date, accurate, and timely information on current events, culture, and society in both countries. After more than 20 years of living, studying, and experiencing life abroad, Pham Khanh Nam still speaks with a deep, warm Central Vietnamese accent. He says that this is also a distinguishing feature, reminding him that he is always Vietnamese.
