Commendation for 'Nghe An Construction Workers Following Uncle Ho's Teachings'

Attending the conference were representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Department of Construction, affiliated grassroots unions and 9 outstanding workers honored on this occasion.

The conference listened to the Interim Report on Trade Union Activities.First 6 months of 2024and positive results in Workers' Month 2024. Accordingly, of the 11 assigned targets, Nghe An Construction Trade Union exceeded 1 target, completed 4 targets and is continuing to implement the remaining targets.

During the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, 105 workers in the industry were taken care of with an amount of 85 million VND; in the first 6 months of 2024, the whole industry had 7 grassroots units with 680 workers receiving consultation and periodic health check-ups; 3 peer-level financial inspections, 6 supervisions...

During the Workers' Month of 2024, the Industry Union has been determined in propaganda work, organizing conferences for reporters and social opinion collaborators; organizing surveys, capturing information related to the legitimate rights and interests of workers; organizing health check-ups and cancer screening for workers; directing grassroots unions to coordinate with professionals to organize the "Union Meal" program in many units; visiting and giving gifts to workers injured due to work-related accidents; supervising occupational safety and hygiene work, etc.

In addition, focus on organizing "May Dialogue"; forum "Workers for businesses, businesses for workers", activities "Thanking workers", "Each grassroots union, one union member benefit".

In particular, the whole industry has introduced 13 outstanding union members for the Party to consider, train and admit, including 7 direct workers.

In the last 6 months of the year, the Industry Union has set out 7 key tasks. In particular, continuing to direct the promotion of patriotic emulation movements among union members and workers, activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024) and major holidays; diversifying propaganda and education work; focusing on solutions to complete and exceed the 2024 plan targets; focusing resources on activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members, organizing well and effectively the "Tet Sum Vay 2025"; Strengthening coordination in participating in inspection and supervision of labor laws, trade unions, occupational safety and hygiene, etc.

Attending the conference, leaders of the Construction industry, the Provincial Federation of Labor and grassroots unions had many opinions and suggestions to recognize and overcome difficulties in the past time and give opinions and thoroughly grasp some key activities in the coming time.

Practically celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024), on this occasion, the Construction Trade Union organized a ceremony to honor 9 outstanding workers in Nghe An Construction industry who followed Uncle Ho's teachings.
