(Baonghean)Fifteen days after leaving Cam Ranh Port, the ship HQ 996 brought us to Nam Yet Island - the northern outpost of the Truong Sa Archipelago. The island is shaped from east to west, with a length of over 700m and a width of over 80m.
Throughout its development and growth, Nam Yet Island has affirmed its heroic qualities, and in 2007 it was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the President of Vietnam.
