Pyongyang warns US wants permanent division of Korean Peninsula
(Baonghean.vn)- On January 10, the Rodong Sinmun Daily, the official mouthpiece of the Workers' Party of Korea, expressed cautious welcome to the results of the high-level dialogue between the country and South Korea, while warning Seoul about the US's ambition to permanently divide the Korean Peninsula.

The Rodong Sinmun said that the key to improving inter-Korean relations is to raise the flag of “Our Country Only” and oppose any interference from outside forces. It stressed: “National independence and autonomy are the key to the goal of reunification and the resolution of all our national problems. The inter-Korean issue cannot be resolved by relying on outside forces.”
The daily also called on the South Korean government to “discard all illusions about outside forces” and fully recognize the US’s ambition to dominate Northeast Asia, by sacrificing South Korea’s interests in the blink of an eye. “The US wants to permanently divide the Korean Peninsula, from which it can dominate the region. The South Korean government must clearly recognize the true face of the US,” Rodong Sinmun asserted.
Previously, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) also published information about the high-level inter-Korean dialogue, considering it a "serious" dialogue./
