In the period of 2018 - 2022, the coordination between the Provincial Border Guard Command and Nghe An Provincial Youth Union has achieved many important results, focusing on propaganda and education for union members and youth volunteers to manage and protect the sovereignty and security of the border and the sacred sea of ​​the Fatherland. At the same time, participating in economic, cultural and social development; building and consolidating the grassroots political system; taking care of consolidating and building the Youth Union, Association and Team organizations in border areas.

Notable among them is the volunteer movement "Joining hands to build new countryside" which was implemented synchronously by the youth union members of the two sectors.

Since then, the project has helped people with 5,854 working days, repaired 41.35 km of rural roads, 55.7 km of irrigation canals, reclaimed 33 hectares of new land, cared for and helped people harvest 108.9 hectares of crops. Coordinated to mobilize resources from the rear to support and give gifts to people in border areas, helping people develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.

Every year, the Provincial Youth Union coordinates with the Provincial Border Guard Youth Union to participate in training on production science and technology, support people in economic development, build a new cultural life, and eliminate backward customs and practices.

The programs “Warm Border Tet”, “Warm Spring, Sharing Tet”, “Border Spring - Warm Tet of Military-Civilian Love”, “Border March”; Volunteer movement “Joining hands to build new countryside”; Movement “Youth volunteers to protect the Fatherland” have made important contributions to the implementation of political tasks, socio-economic development programs and maintaining political security, social order and safety.

The results achieved have created a strong change in the awareness and actions of cadres, soldiers, union members, youth and the masses in implementing the Party's guidelines, policies and the State's laws; promoting the combined strength of the "People's Border Defense" in building, managing and protecting national border security and sovereignty.

Many good models, creative ways of doing things, good people, good deeds, and advanced examples have been spread, contributing tosocio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security, consolidating great solidarity in the whole province.

Based on the results of coordination between the Provincial Border Guard Command and Nghe An Provincial Youth Union in recent years, the two sectors agreed to develop and sign a Program of coordination of activities for the period 2023 - 2027.

On this occasion, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union awarded 5 collectives and 5 individuals and the Provincial Border Guard Command commended and awarded 6 collectives and 4 individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Joint Program "Promoting the vanguard role of youth in participating in building and defending the Fatherland" for the period 2018 - 2022./.
