Nghe An Military Command hands over martyrs' remains to locality
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 18, at Ninh Khanh ward, Ninh Binh city, Ninh Binh province, the working delegation of the National Steering Committee for searching, collecting and retrieving martyrs' remains (Steering Committee 1237) of Nghe An province held a ceremony to hand over and bury the remains of martyr Nguyen Dinh Quang who died in Laos.
The handover ceremony was organized by Lieutenant Colonel Le Anh Tuan - Deputy Chief of Politics of the Provincial Military Command, Member of Steering Committee 1237 of Nghe An province; Steering Committee of Military Region 3, Ninh Binh province; Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ninh Binh.

In the 2017-2018 dry season, the Collection Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command surveyed and searched for and collected 98 martyrs' remains, of which 87 graves were found in Xieng Khouang province; 5 graves in Vientiane province and 6 graves in Xay Xom Bun province.
Of the 98 remains of martyrs who died in Laos that were gathered this time, 12 have names, but their unit, hometown, and time of death have not been determined. Only one remains whose identity, hometown, and unit have been determined is martyr Nguyen Dinh Quang, born in 1947, originally from Cam Gia village, Ninh Khanh commune, Gia Khanh district, Ninh Binh province (now Pho Mia, Ninh Khanh ward, Ninh Binh city, Ninh Binh province), enlisted: May 1970; rank: Corporal; position: Deputy squad leader; unit: Company 1, Battalion 11, Division 316, Military Region 2.
Martyr Nguyen Dinh Quang sacrificed on August 14, 1971, was found and collected by the Collection Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command on November 6, 2017 at the west of the 1188 high point of Noong village, Muong Bec district, Xieng Khouang province, Lao People's Democratic Republic.

At the handover ceremony, reception and burial of martyr Nguyen Dinh Quang's remains, the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province expressed their condolences and infinite gratitude for the noble sacrifice of the heroic martyrs who did not hesitate to sacrifice their blood and bones for the noble international mission./.
