Nghe An Provincial Military Command organizes the program "Spring on the border and islands - Tet with warm military-civilian affection"
(Baonghean.vn) - With the spirit of Tet for the poor - leaving no one behind, the Military Command of Nghe An province presented many Tet gifts to households in difficult circumstances in Nam Giai commune, Que Phong district.

On the morning of January 30, in Nam Giai commune (Que Phong district), Nghe An Provincial Military Command organized the program "Spring on the border and islands - Tet with love between the army and the people" and "Green Chung cake for the poor"; giving gifts to the poor and students in the commune. Accompanying Nghe An Provincial Military Command were Huynh Thuc Khang High School and Hung Phuc Ward Youth Union (Vinh city).
Attending the program were comrades: Colonel Vo Van Hai - Deputy Chief of Politics of Military Region 4; Colonel Pham Dinh Trung - Deputy Political Commissar, Nghe An Provincial Military Command, representatives of the District Party Committee, People's Committee of Que Phong district; Nam Giai commune; Huynh Thuc Khang High School; and a large number of people of Nam Giai commune.
Nam Giai Commune is a poor border commune, located 20 km from the center of Que Phong district. The commune has 489 households, with 2,145 people, the majority of whom are Thai ethnic people; the livelihood of the people mainly depends on agriculture and forestry; the economic life of the people still has many difficulties.

Since 2012, following the assignment of Nghe An province, the Provincial Military Command has officially helped Nam Giai commune. Over the past 12 years, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command has had many practical and effective support activities such as helping Nam Giai commune build traffic works, schools, medical stations, irrigation works, cultural houses; giving gifts and supporting livestock for policy households and poor households. In 2023 alone, the Provincial Military Command donated 70 tons of cement to the commune, many cultural, physical education and sports facilities... worth 250 million VND.
Every year, on holidays and Tet, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command organizes gift giving to families with meritorious services, families with soldiers on active duty, young people joining the army, poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in Nam Giai commune.

In order to support people, especially poor households in Nam Giai commune, to celebrate the traditional Tet holiday in a full and cozy way, this year, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command organized the program "Spring on the border and islands - Tet with warm military-civilian affection" and "Green Chung cake for the poor", and at the same time presented gifts for the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024.
Speaking at the program, Colonel Pham Dinh Trung - Deputy Political Commissar of Nghe An Provincial Military Command stated: With the spirit of Tet for the poor - leaving no one behind, recently, soldiers of the Provincial Military Command and Huynh Thuc Khang High School have contributed part of the funds to support the people of Nam Giai commune who are facing many difficulties.

These are the hearts, feelings of mutual love, the whole leaves cover the torn leaves of the provincial armed forces, Huynh Thuc Khang High School for families in difficult circumstances so that everyone can have a warm Tet.
Colonel Pham Dinh Trung sent his best wishes for the New Year to the people of Nam Giai commune and expressed his hope that they would continue to strive and make efforts to overcome difficulties, develop household economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous and prosperous homeland.
At the program, leaders of Military Region 4, Nghe An Provincial Military Command, Que Phong District, Huynh Thuc Khang High School, and Hung Phuc Ward Youth Union presented 150 warm coats to 150 preschool students in Nam Giai Commune; presented 56 gifts to 56 disadvantaged households in Nam Giai Commune. Each gift included necessities for Tet, candy, banh chung, and 500,000 VND.

Also within the framework of the program, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command organized the inauguration of a house for the poor and handed over the house to Mr. Ha Van Ngoc's family in Cha Lau village, Nam Giai commune. The house was built with a total cost of 110 million VND, of which the Nghe An Provincial Military Command supported 70 million VND./.
