The Politburo approves personnel appointments for Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai.
The Politburo approved Mr. Pham Duy Cuong as Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Chau Van Lam as Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee.
To Huy Rua, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, recently chaired a meeting of key officials in Yen Bai province to implement the Politburo's decision on personnel matters.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Ngoc Lam announced the Politburo's decision on the transfer and assignment of Central Committee members.
Accordingly, Mr. Do Van Chien has resigned from the Provincial Party Committee and relinquished his position as Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee to assume the position of Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities.
Simultaneously, the decision was announced to approve the appointment of Mr. Pham Duy Cuong, born in 1958, from Hanoi, with a Master's degree in Business Administration, as Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term. Previously, Mr. Cuong served as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee.
Later that same day, at the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee meeting, the Head of the Central Organization Department, To Huy Rua, presented the Politburo's decision assigning former Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Sang Vang as Deputy Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee; and the Politburo's decision approving the appointment of Provincial Chairman Chau Van Lam as Provincial Party Secretary of Tuyen Quang.
Mr. Chau Van Lam was born in 1967 in Na Hang district (now Lam Binh district), Tuyen Quang province, and is of the Tay ethnic group. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration.
