According to Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, his name is in this file because he has shares in two companies on the list, Imex Asia Pacific International Limited (IAP) and Imex Pan Pacific Group Inc. The transactions recorded in the Panama Papers were explained by him as "a normal investment activity of the company while in the Philippines".
However, he also said that IPA Company only existed for 6 months because of ineffective business. After that, this enterprise returned all shares to his company. Similarly, the shares under his name at Imex Pan Pacific Group Inc (specializing in investment, import and export of goods, project financing...) were also withdrawn to focus on doing business in Vietnam since September 2007.
According to the "King of Luxury Goods", the purchase of shares in the above companies had nothing to do with Mr. Viet Nam's business activities because at that time he was a business representative in the Philippines.
