(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 15, the Provincial Military Command organized the assignment of surveying, searching for and collecting the remains of martyrs, volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who died in Laos during the dry season of 2021-2022.

In the past time, the Collection Team has proactively advised the Provincial Steering Committee 515 to send a document via diplomatic channels requesting the Lao People's Democratic Republic to pay attention and agree to create favorable conditions for the Collection Team to carry out its mission in Laos according to the determined plan. In addition, the unit has organized a sufficient number and quality of staff, organized and thoroughly raised awareness and responsibility of Party committees, commanders, officers and employees in the entire team for the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains. Speaking at the task assignment, Colonel Pham Van Dong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 515, chaired the task assignment session, emphasizing: In the coming time, the weather and climate conditions are harsh, the COVID-19 epidemic situation is extremely complicated, and information about martyrs' remains is increasingly scarce. Therefore, the Party Committee, commanders, officers and staff of the Collection Team need to clearly define their responsibilities, be determined, seriously implement effective search measures and plans; focus on measures to prevent and control COVID-19 while performing tasks in Laos.
In addition, the unit continues to carefully prepare facilities, equipment, and logistics to ensure the best service for the task of surveying, searching, and collecting martyrs' remains. In particular, it regularly coordinates with the Special Task Force and local Party committees and authorities of Laos to grasp the situation, coordinate the implementation of search plans in all directions to achieve the best results, ensure absolute safety, and at the same time perform well the task of foreign defense on Lao soil.
