(Baonghean.vn) - At Moc Chau district cemetery, Son La province, the working delegation of the National Steering Committee for searching, collecting and burying the remains of martyr Dang Xuan Liem, who died in Chau Khe commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An province, held a ceremony to hand over and bury the remains of martyr Dang Xuan Liem, who died in Chau Khe commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An province.

Attending the handover ceremony on the morning of August 26 were Lieutenant Colonel Le Anh Tu - Head of the Policy Department, Political Department of Nghe An Provincial Military Command; representatives of Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 2, Son La province; Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Son La province.

Martyr Dang Xuan Liem was born in 1955 in Phieng Don village, Tan Lap commune, Moc Chau district, Son La province; enlisted in April 1975 at Battalion 13, Logistics Department, Group 530, Engineering Command.

Departments, branches, relatives and people of Moc Chau district, Son La province attended the funeral of martyr Dang Xuan Liem to return to his motherland.
Martyr Dang Xuan Liem sacrificed on June 14, 1980 in Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe Tinh province (now Nghe An province). He was collected by the Nghe An Provincial Military Command's collection team on January 3, 2019 at the Dinh village cemetery, Chau Khe commune, Con Cuong district. The DNA test results were announced by the Department of Meritorious People, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on July 17, 2019.

Receiving, paying respects and burying the remains of martyrs demonstrates the Party and State's policies on the work of war invalids and martyrs; meets the aspirations of the people and relatives of martyrs; promotes the moral tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude" and the gratitude of the Party Committee, government and people of Moc Chau district, Son La province towards martyrs who devoted their whole lives to the Fatherland.
