(Baonghean.vn) - At 5:00 p.m. this afternoon (September 14), the Provincial Military Command held an online conference to deploy tasks to prevent super typhoon Mangkhut with the participation of 22 points (including the central command post, 19 points in districts, towns, and cities and 2 points in Mat Island and Ngu Island).

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, super typhoon Mangkhut will directly affect the Gulf of Tonkin from September 16-17, and land in our country from September 17-18, with strong winds of level 14-15, gusting to level 17, directly affecting 27 provinces and cities.
At the conference, Colonel Tran Van Hung - Commander of the Provincial Military Command agreed to deploy: Agencies and units in the Provincial Military Command pay close attention to monitoring and grasping the developments of the storm; at the same time, do a good job of propaganda and mobilization for officers, soldiers and people in the area to proactively reinforce houses, barracks, warehouses, and ensure safety. Proactively prepare forces, means, and facilities to be ready for combat, and have a mobile plan ready to carry out tasks to help people prevent storms and floods.

The Military Commands of coastal districts and towns (Cua Lo, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Hoang Mai) and the two islands should pay attention to coordinating with the border guards to call on fishing boats of fishermen fishing at sea to quickly come ashore for safe shelter, implementing the sea ban order of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee from 10:00 on September 16; coordinate with local authorities to help people in key coastal areas evacuate to safe areas.
