The Provincial Military Command launched the Tree Planting Festival for the Spring of the Year of the Goat 2015.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 23rd (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), at the 17th Engineering Company, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command of Nghe An organized the launching ceremony of the Spring Tree Planting Campaign for the Year of the Goat 2015. Attending the ceremony were Colonel Ha Tan Tien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, and a large number of officers and soldiers from the agency.

Participating in this year's Tree Planting Festival in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh, the Provincial Military Command directed 21 districts, towns, and cities, the Military School, Regiment 764, Mat Island, and Ngu Island to proactively develop plans, coordinate with local Party committees and authorities, and with the plant seed center to identify planting locations, select suitable tree species, choose high-quality seedlings, and take advantage of favorable weather conditions in each unit to organize tree planting and reforestation to achieve good results.

To ensure the effectiveness of the Tree Planting Festival, the Provincial Military Command directed agencies and units to focus on implementing the motto "Plant a tree, ensure it thrives"; based on the specific circumstances of each unit and locality, they will continue planting and caring for trees in the following period of the year. This aims to build a sense of responsibility among officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces, encouraging them to continue working with local Party committees, authorities, and people to lead the movement of planting and caring for trees, protecting the environment, actively contributing to mitigating climate change, and helping to build "regular, green, clean, and beautiful barracks" within agencies and units.
