Recently, some subjects have used the form of recruiting collaborators through websites and large domestic e-commerce platforms to entice people to participate in fraudulent acts.appropriation of property.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the modus operandi of the subjects is: The subjects will post advertisements on websites and social networks such as Facebook, Zalo, Viber about "Recruiting child models to participate in photo shoots as brand ambassadors"; then, find friends with parents with young children, living in big cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and invite them to send their children to apply for child models for fashion brands.

After parents with young children agree to participate, the subjects will put them in a group chat to invite parents to become online collaborators in the form of purchasing products from the e-commerce platform to receive commissions and increase the chances of their children being recruited.
The task of the "online collaborators" is to participate in the task of buying products with increasing amounts of money and tricking participants into transferring money to buy products into the accounts of the subjects.
To create trust, the subjects promise to return the original purchase price and pay a commission of 10-15%. After one or two times of paying the commission and the duty fee in full to the accounts of the "online collaborators", when the amount of money that the parents spend on the goods ranges from several hundred million to billions of VND, the subjects will disconnect and delete the "online collaborators" from the groups/chat groups. The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention of the Ministry of Public Security recommends that people be vigilant when participating in groups recruiting online collaborators for child models. It is necessary to verify and authenticate official information from the brands. Do not provide personal information to strangers or strangers on the internet; do not make friends or join Zalo, Facebook, Viber groups... that you do not know. Report to the nearest police agency or provide information to the business that owns the brands when detecting signs of crimes related to the above-mentioned form of property fraud.
