Ministry of Public Security holds funeral for Deputy Minister Pham Quy Ngo
The funeral of Senior Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo began at 7am today (February 23) with high-level ceremony at the national funeral home - No. 5, Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi.

The first delegation to pay their respects was led by Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, and Director of the General Political Department.
Next was the delegation led by Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang. Right after the delegation of the Minister of Public Security was the delegation led by the Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee.
Also attending the funeral were Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and Minister - Head of the Government Office Nguyen Van Nen. Deputy Prime Ministers Hoang Trung Hai, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Vu Van Ninh and their families sent wreaths to pay their respects to Senior Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo.
Leaders of all central ministries, departments, the General Department of Force Building (Ministry of Public Security), the State Bank, the Ministry of Health and the Central Committee for Health Care of Officials, the Hanoi People's Committee... all came to pay their respects to Senior Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo.
A large number of police officers were present at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong for the funeral of Senior Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo. From early morning, security in the area near the funeral home was increased, and traffic police were mobilized to help direct traffic and guide visitors from the gate of the funeral home.
The funeral of Senior Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo was held according to high-level funeral rites presided over by the Ministry of Public Security. The visitation ceremony was from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The memorial service and funeral procession were held at 11:10 a.m. the same day.
According to the family's wishes, the body of Senior Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo was buried in his hometown: Dong Cuong commune, Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province.
Mr. Pham Quy Ngo passed away at 9:05 p.m. on February 18 at 108 Military Central Hospital due to a serious illness.
Senior Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo was born on December 24, 1954. He is a member of the 11th Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and a delegate of the 11th National Assembly.
Mr. Ngo joined the Party in 1974 and joined the Party in 1980. He received the Third Class Military Exploit Medal, the First, Second and Third Class Military Exploit Medals, the Friendship and Independence Medals of the Lao PDR, the 30-year Party membership badge and many other awards.
