The Ministry of Public Security held a funeral for Deputy Minister Pham Quy Ngo.

The funeral ceremony for Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo began at 7:00 AM today (February 23rd) according to high-level protocol at the National Funeral Home - No. 5, Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi.

The first delegation to pay their respects was led by General Ngo Xuan Lich, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, and Head of the General Political Department.

Next came the delegation led by Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang. Immediately following the delegation led by the Minister of Public Security was the delegation led by the Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee.

Also attending the memorial service were Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Nguyen Van Nen. Deputy Prime Ministers Hoang Trung Hai, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and Vu Van Ninh, along with their families, sent wreaths to pay respects to Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo.

Leaders from all central ministries and agencies, the General Department of Force Building (Ministry of Public Security), the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ministry of Health, the Central Committee for the Protection and Care of Cadre Health, the Hanoi People's Committee, etc., all came to pay their respects to Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo.

A large number of police officers were present at the National Funeral Home at 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street for the funeral of Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo. From early morning, security measures were intensified in the area near the funeral home, and traffic police were mobilized to manage traffic flow and guide visitors from the funeral home's entrance.

The funeral of Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo was held according to high-level funeral rites, presided over by the Ministry of Public Security. The viewing took place from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM. The memorial service and burial procession began at 11:10 AM on the same day.

In accordance with the family's wishes, the remains of Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo were interred in his hometown: Dong Cuong commune, Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province.

Mr. Pham Quy Ngo passed away at 9:05 PM on February 18th at Military Central Hospital 108 due to a serious illness.

General Pham Quy Ngo, born on December 24, 1954, is a member of the Central Committee of the 11th Party Congress, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Ministry, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and a member of the 11th National Assembly.

Mr. Ngo joined the workforce in 1974 and became a Party member in 1980. He received the Third-Class Military Merit Medal, First, Second, and Third-Class Combat Merit Medals, the Friendship and Independence Medals of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the 30-Year Party Membership Badge, and many other awards.
