Ministry of Industry and Trade: Monitoring to avoid delays and disruptions in the supply of E10 gasoline.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has requested that localities closely inspect and monitor the transition to E10 bioethanol fuel starting from June 1st, ensuring that there are absolutely no delays or disruptions to the supply.
The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has recently issued Official Letter No. 1525/TTTN-NV to the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities regarding the monitoring and inspection of the implementation of E10 bioethanol.
Specifically, from now until May 31st, the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities will promote awareness and compliance with the roadmap for switching to E10 gasoline among gasoline and oil businesses; widely disseminate information about the safety and benefits of E10 bio-gasoline to create consensus among consumers in their areas.
The Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities are reminding and closely monitoring gasoline and diesel retail outlets in their areas to urgently complete technical infrastructure, tanks, pumps, etc., to switch to selling E10 bioethanol gasoline according to the prescribed roadmap.
In addition, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development requested the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities to instruct gasoline retailers to strictly implement the conversion to E10 bioethanol fuel from June 1st, absolutely ensuring that there is no delay or disruption in the supply.
Starting from June 1st, the Departments of Industry and Trade in provinces and cities will direct market management forces, in coordination with other functional forces, to monitor and inspect retail gasoline and diesel fuel outlets in their areas.
In particular, resolute action will be taken against the sale of gasoline of the wrong type according to the planned schedule, hoarding, creating supply shortages, arbitrarily stopping sales without justifiable reasons or being ambiguous in indicating prices and types of gasoline and diesel at the pump; arbitrarily increasing prices unreasonably, and other violations of the law.
The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development requests that the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities instruct market management forces at all levels and assigned officials to be held responsible if retail gasoline stations fail to comply with the conversion roadmap; or if serious violations or hotspots of fraud and market instability in the gasoline sector occur within their jurisdiction without timely detection and handling.
