The Ministry of Industry and Trade confirmed that Khaisilk silk scarves do not contain silk ingredients.
That is the report of the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding Khaisilk silk scarves and the Ministry also said that Hanoi police are conducting investigation steps related to the Khaisilk case.
Responding at the Government press conference on the afternoon of May 31, Mr. Do Thang Hai - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade said that the investigation agency has initiated a case related to Khaisilk's violations. "Currently, the investigation agency is conducting the investigation steps according to the current procedures and regulations in this case," Mr. Hai added.
Previously, at the end of 2017, after consumers complained that Khaisilk was selling Chinese goods but labeling them "made in Vietnam", the market management force (Ministry of Industry and Trade) inspected all Khaisilk stores nationwide and discovered many violations.

The inspection report of the Ministry of Industry and Trade also discovered and confirmed that Khaisilk silk scarves do not contain silk as announced. According to customs statistics, for 3 years (2006 - 2009), Khai Duc - the company managing the Khaisilk brand imported fashion products from China and Thailand. In response to the above incident, Mr. Hoang Khai - Chairman of Khaisilk Group later admitted to the media that he "sold 50% of silk 'made in China' in his system" and apologized to consumers.
From 2009 to October 15, 2017, the Company no longer imported fashion items. From 2012 to present, the Company has not conducted production, processing or ordering processing of fashion products from domestic enterprises and production facilities. Instead, this enterprise mainly buys finished products from stores, business households, and other enterprises in the market to label.
Due to the complexity, this agency established an interdisciplinary inspection team and after 2 months concluded that Khaisilk had many violations of the law in its business activities, even showing signs of criminal violations. The Ministry of Industry and Trade transferred the case to the Hanoi City Police Department of Investigation in late 2017 to expand the investigation.
