Ministry of Industry and Trade replaces Director of Department of Organization and Personnel

Mr. Tran Quang Huy will resign from the position of Director of the Africa, West Asia, and South Asia Markets Department to hold the position of Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel from September 7, 2016.

This morning (September 7), at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade - Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh presented the Decision appointing Mr. Tran Quang Huy as Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel. Mr. Tran Quang Huy will resign from his current position - Director of the Department of African, West Asian and South Asian Markets to hold the position of Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel from September 7, 2016.

As the Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Mr. Huy will, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, advise and direct the work of planning, rotation, appointment, dismissal, emulation, rewards and discipline of cadres, in accordance with regulations. At the same time, he will perform other tasks assigned by the leaders of the Ministry.

Speaking at the Decision Awarding Ceremony, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Khanh congratulated the new Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel and believed that in his new position, Mr. Tran Quang Huy will promote his capacity and strengths to innovate and build a collective of Industry and Trade cadres who are united and unanimous, and together achieve the goals set by the industry.

The new Director of the Department of Personnel Organization deeply thanks the trust and support of the Ministry's leaders and considers this an honor and a great responsibility contributing to the development of the whole industry. Mr. Huy also pledged to work with the Department's staff to do a good job of advising the Ministry's leaders on personnel work, contributing to implementing the Minister's direction on institutional reform and building a creative government.

Mr. Tran Quang Huy was born in 1976, has a PhD in Economics, and has held the positions of Deputy Director of the Department of Africa, West Asia, and South Asia from 2006 to 2013. From 2013 to present, Mr. Huy has held the position of Head of the Department of Africa, West Asia, and South Asia. At the same time, Mr. Huy also held the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union during the 2008-2012 term.

Mr. Dao Van Hai continues to hold the position of Department Head but will not participate in personnel management and direction and will be assigned other work.

Also according to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Dao Van Hai, who is currently holding the position of Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, will continue to hold the position of Director. However, Mr. Hai will not participate in the direction and management of personnel and will be assigned to other more suitable jobs./.
