Previously, on July 28, 2017, Ms. Thoa submitted a resignation letter to the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. However, at that time, Ms. Thoa's letter was not approved because she was still a senior official under the management of the Central Secretariat.

Therefore, the decision to dismiss Ms. Thoa or not is under the authority of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s leadership.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Trade said: "Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is coordinating with Ms. Thoa to complete procedures and resolve the matter according to current legal regulations."
