Ministry of Industry and Trade requests strict handling of Mr. Le Chung Dung

Vietnam Oil and Gas Group has been taking disciplinary action against Mr. Le Chung Dung for violating labor discipline and traveling abroad without permission.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade received a report from the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group that Mr. Le Chung Dung, Deputy General Director of the PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power - a member unit of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group), an officer under the management of the Group, has been absent from work since October 21.

According to the report of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, Mr. Le Chung Dung was given leave by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation from October 10 to 20, 2016. After the leave ended, Mr. Le Chung Dung submitted a request to temporarily stop working for 6 months to attend a course with personal funds abroad. The Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation has repeatedly sent documents requesting Mr. Dung to return to the Corporation to continue working and handle related procedures. However, from October 21 to now, Mr. Dung has not returned to work and has notified the Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation that he is studying in Singapore.

Immediately after receiving the report from the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a document requesting the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to direct strict handling in accordance with the decentralization of cadre management and current regulations and rules. At the same time, strengthen cadre management, especially cadres related to inspection and examination activities.

In response to this incident, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group has been taking disciplinary action against Mr. Le Chung Dung for violating labor discipline and going abroad without permission./.
