Nghe An Border Guard won second prize in the contest "Learning legal knowledge on the People's Army Newspaper"
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 12, in Hanoi, the Department of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of National Defense coordinated with the People's Army Newspaper (QĐND) to organize the summary and award ceremony of the contest "Learning legal knowledge on the People's Army Newspaper" in 2023 and launch the contest in 2024.
Attending the program were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Vice Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Dissemination of Legal Education, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of Project 1371 of the Ministry of National Defense.

The 2023 multiple-choice test contest "Learning legal knowledge on the People's Army Newspaper" organized by the Department of Legislation, Ministry of National Defense in coordination with the People's Army Newspaper was launched from June 6, 2023 to December 6, 2023 with 6 exams (one exam per month). After 6 exams, the organizing committee received more than 120,000 entries, with an average of more than 20,000 participants per exam. Contestants participated in the contest with a serious spirit, attitude, and high responsibility. Most of the entries answered the multiple-choice questions correctly, many answered all the questions correctly.
In the essay section, many of the entries were carefully and elaborately invested by the authors, of good quality, rich in emotion, showing that the authors had a firm grasp and deep understanding of legal knowledge. Among them, military agencies and units had a high number of participants, such as: National Defense Academy, Army Academy, Military Region 1, Military Region 2, Military Region 7, Military Region 9, Political Officer School, Army Officer School 1, Army Officer School 2, Coast Guard, Border Guard, Air Defense - Air Force Service...
The contest not only attracts officers and soldiers of the armed forces, but also has the participation of a large number of veterans, civil servants, teachers, students living in provinces and cities such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Dong Nai, Dak Nong, Quang Nam, An Giang, Dong Thap, Ha Giang, Thai Binh, Ha Nam...
The contest has achieved its goals and requirements, notably in propagating, disseminating and educating cadres, soldiers and people to have a correct and profound understanding of the law; building a law-abiding lifestyle for all classes of people; contributing to the effective implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; raising awareness, strengthening the leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels; promoting the role and responsibility of all levels, sectors and organizations in disseminating, educating and mobilizing people to comply with policies and laws at the grassroots level as the goal of Project 1371 "Promoting the role of the People's Army in participating in the dissemination and education of the law, mobilizing people to comply with the law at the grassroots level, period 2021-2027".

At the end of the 2023 competition, the Organizing Committee selected outstanding entries to award annual prizes to groups and individuals. Accordingly, the collective prizes: 1 First prize; 2 Second prizes; 3 Third prizes; 5 Encouragement prizes. Regarding individual prizes, there are: 1 First prize; 2 Second prizes; 3 Third prizes; 5 Encouragement prizes; 5 impressive prizes.
Among them, the Border Guard of Nghe An province was honored to have Lieutenant Colonel Cao Van Cam, Political Commissar of Thong Thu Border Post, win the Second Prize in the individual contest. Previously, in the contest, Lieutenant Colonel Cao Van Cam won the Third Prize in the first round and the Encouragement Prize in the fifth round.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee launched the 2024 “Learning Legal Knowledge on the People's Army Newspaper” Contest, which will be held nationwide from March to October 2024. Contestants are officials, civil servants, public employees, workers, officers and soldiers in the People's Armed Forces, students and citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and overseas Vietnamese.
