(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the influence of storm No. 9 and the northeast monsoon, Nghe An province has experienced heavy and very heavy rain, rivers and streams have risen rapidly, causing flooding in some areas. In mountainous districts such as Ky Son and Anh Son, many areas are at high risk of landslides, the Nghe An Border Guard Command has directed all units to be on standby with 100% of their personnel ready to respond to floods.

In the area of ​​Muong Tip and Muong Ai communes, Ky Son district, Muong Ai Border Guard Station is urgently coordinating with the authorities of the two communes to evacuate 158 households in the landslide area of ​​Vang Phao, Na My, Xop Phe villages of Muong Tip commune and Xop Phong village of Muong Ai commune to safe evacuation areas.

Heavy rains have also caused flooding and landslides in some areas of coastal border units. In Thu Thuy ward, Cua Lo town, rising sea levels have eroded about 1km of seawall.

To ensure the safety of the people, the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port sent 30 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities to use sandbags to temporarily prevent seawater from entering.

At Tam Quang Border Guard Station, to ensure safety and prevent landslides due to heavy rain, 39 households in Tung Huong and Tan Huong villages, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district were mobilized by Tam Quang Border Guard Station in coordination with local authorities to evacuate to a safe place.
