Nghe An Border Guard promptly rescued fishermen in an accident 13 nautical miles off the coast.

A fisherman from Nghe An province had an accident while fishing at sea. He was promptly rescued by the Border Guard and brought safely to shore.

At 9:15 a.m. on September 7, Dien Thanh Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) received a report from fishermen about a work accident at sea. The victim was Dang Van Nhung (born in 1969), residing in Yen Quang hamlet, Dien Chau commune, Nghe An province, who was fishing on a fishing boat with license plate NA-91275-TS owned by Cao Huy Cong. While fishing about 13 nautical miles from shore, he had an accident when the boat rope broke and flew into his face, causing injury.

Immediately after receiving the news, Dien Thanh Border Guard Station quickly mobilized a canoe with 6 officers, soldiers and military medics to coordinate with the victim's family to organize access, provide first aid and bring the victim safely to shore.

Mr. Nhung has been taken to Nghe An General Hospital for further monitoring and treatment. The fisherman’s initial health condition is stable, with no danger to his life.
