Mr. Tu shared: "My husband and I have prepared materials, but due to difficult circumstances, there is not enough to build a house. Thanks to the Border Guard's support of funding and labor, the family was able to build a house like this."
10 km away from Tu’s village, we visited Ha Thi Thuy’s family in Xop Nam village (Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district). After more than 10 years of saving, Thuy and her husband were able to build a house.
Tam Hop Border Guard Station supported her family with 10 million VND to buy roofing sheets and funds to pour concrete on the house floor. Now, her family lives in a house that is closed above and durable below, designed according to the customs of the highland people.
Excited about the support from the Border Guard, Ms. Thuy said: "A year ago, our family received support from the Army with a breeding cow so that the family had capital for production. Now, our family is receiving financial support from the Border Guard to complete the house. With breeding cows and a new house, the family feels very secure. Now, we only focus on doing business and developing the family economy."
