Nghe An soldiers help people escape flood at night
(Baonghean.vn) - Heavy rain due to the influence of storm No. 4 caused some villages in Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district to be flooded nearly 1 meter deep. Upon receiving the news, on the night of September 28 and early morning of September 29, Mon Son Border Guard Station sent forces to Thai Son 1 and Thai Son 2 villages to organize the evacuation of assets and livestock, and help people to minimize damage.
By the morning of September 29, thanks to timely rescue, there was no loss of life, property, belongings, and livestock of the people were promptly evacuated to higher ground.
Due to heavy rain and floods, rivers and streams in the area rose, Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard urgently sent forces to the area to coordinate with local authorities to inspect vulnerable locations, at risk of dangerous landslides; guide people, and put up warning signs to avoid accidents and risks.
Currently, Border Guard units are also on full duty, ready to respond and help people when situations arise.
