Lenovo's budget-friendly phablet duo launched.

The Lenovo Phab Plus and Phab will go on sale on November 10th, starting at 4 million VND.

Lenovo's two new products are a hybrid of phone and tablet, featuring screens nearly 7 inches in size but with a compact design for easy one-handed use.

The Lenovo Phab Plus features a unibody metal casing, a 6.8-inch Full HD IPS display, and is only 7.6 mm thin. Lenovo's giant smartphone looks quite similar to a larger iPhone 6s when viewed from the back. Because of its size, to facilitate one-handed use, Lenovo has added several convenient features such as a keyboard that automatically tilts to the sides, the ability to shrink the screen by typing the letter C, and virtual keys for quick access to functions.

The Lenovo Phab Plus is also a well-configured Android smartphone. It runs Lollipop 5.1 and uses an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chip, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and has a microSD card slot expandable up to 64GB. The front and rear cameras have resolutions of 5 and 13 megapixels, respectively. The 3,500 mAh battery provides impressive battery life, with up to a full day of continuous talk time. Qualcomm's power-saving technology allows the device to operate in standby mode for up to 20 days.

The other model is the Phab, priced at 4 million VND, which will be available a week after the Phab Plus in two colors: black and white. Although cheaper, the Lenovo Phab features a 6.98-inch screen and a 4,250 mAh battery. The Lenovo Phab retains its unibody design and attractive appearance, but its back is made of polycarbonate with a matte finish, providing a more secure grip than the Phab Plus.

The screen resolution has been reduced to HD but still uses an IPS LCD panel. The front and rear cameras have the same resolution as the Phab Plus. However, the configuration only uses a 1.2 GHz quad-core chip with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, expandable up to 64GB with a memory card.

Besides their large screens, good design, and decent specifications, both the Lenovo Phab Plus and Phab boast powerful speakers with Dolby Atmos technology. Both models support dual SIM cards and 4G LTE connectivity.
