The Ministry of Education updated the answers for History subject.
Due to a technical error in the process of exporting the soft copy file, an answer in the History subject was jumped from D to A.

However, a day later, the answer to this question posted on the Ministry's information portal was D - Special Warfare. That change made many people worried that it would affect the candidates' exam results.
Responding to VnExpress on the evening of June 26, Deputy Director of the Department of Education Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) Sai Cong Hong said "there was no change in the History answer key compared to the original".
The head of the 2017 National High School Exam Committee explained that the official answers for each subject are hard copies signed by the Head of the exam committee and approved by the Chairman of the Exam Council. On the evening of June 24, after the exam ended, the Exam Council printed copies of the answers and stamped them to ensure the legality of the answers when sending them to the local exam council for grading.
"When providing soft copies of answers on CD to press agencies, it is very possible that due to a technical error, the answers were changed from D to A. Some exam questions were copied along with the answers of other subjects on the same CD, and when opened, they were also lost," said Mr. Hong.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Education Quality Management said that this incident is a valuable experience for the following years when announcing official answers, the original with the red seal of the Ministry of Education should be used to ensure legality and accuracy.
On June 22-24, 860,000 candidates nationwide took the national high school exam, including three subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and one of two combined subjects: Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology); or Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education). Except for Literature, the remaining subjects were multiple choice.
At the end of the exam, the Ministry of Education held a press conference, evaluating the exam as a success. Many years later, the multiple choice exam method as in 2017 will be maintained.
