Ministry of Education and Training announced national high school exam scores
More than 3,100 candidates received failing scores in the national high school exam, the most in Literature (1,265), followed by English (630) and more than 1,200 got 10 points.
At 6am on July 14, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the national high school exam scores of candidates in 63 provinces and cities. About 5 hours earlier, some localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang, Binh Thuan... shared the exam scores on the website of the Department of Education and Training.

This year, there was no "rain of 10s" like in 2017, no candidate scored 30 points in the three university entrance exams. Civics continued to have the most 10s with 784, followed by English 299, History 80, Geography 42, Biology 39.

This year's exam is considered easy to score on average, so the number of failing scores has decreased significantly compared to 2018. The whole country has more than 3,120 failing scores of 1 or less, the most in Literature (1,265), followed by English (630). Last year, the total number of failing scores was more than 8,660, the most in English (more than 2,100), followed by Math (1,500).
Literature is a surprising subject because it is always considered difficult to get a failing score, but this year it has the highest number, 1.6 times higher than last year. This is also the only subject without a 10, the number of scores from 9 to 9.5 is 462.
The score distribution of each subject and each combination of university and college admissions is also announced by the Ministry of Education and Training from 6:10 am. Candidates can compare their scores in relation to the rest, as a basis for adjusting their admission wishes. Education administrators can also look at the score distribution to evaluate the quality of the exam and candidates.
