Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky said that the Department had reported the incident of the anti-glare steel barriers installed on the guardrails of National Highway 1A being bent and removed by residents, causing traffic safety hazards. The Ministry will send a working group to conduct an on-site inspection in the next few days.

According to Mr. Ky, after the official inauguration and commissioning of National Highway 1A, several shortcomings have emerged, including the lack of level crossings at some points. The ministry's working group will inspect and study the issue. The Department has reported the vandalism of the guardrails on National Highway 1 to the province. The Provincial People's Committee has issued a document requesting the investigative agency to intervene and handle the acts of vandalism against the guardrails of National Highway 1A, especially in Dien Chau district.
The province also instructed local authorities to continue disseminating information to the public regarding compliance with traffic safety regulations. In particular, people should not arbitrarily dismantle or move equipment installed on the guardrails of National Highway 1A. Any acts of deliberate vandalism will be dealt with according to the law.
