Ministry of Foreign Affairs speaks out about Facebook map violating Vietnam's sovereignty
Vietnam has full legal basis and historical evidence to affirm its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

On July 5, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to a reporter's question about Vietnam's reaction to Facebook posting images of maps that seriously violated Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, Deputy Spokesperson Ngo Toan Thang said: "Immediately after receiving the information, the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam worked with Facebook and Facebook corrected the incorrect information on these maps as reported by the press in recent days."
The Deputy Spokesperson once again emphasized that Vietnam has full legal basis and historical evidence to affirm its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, determined in accordance with international law./.
