Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has just handed over the decisions on the appointment of officials. Accordingly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs decided to appoint Mr. Tran Duc Binh - Deputy Director of the ASEAN Department, to hold the position of Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Appoint Mr. Pham Hai Anh - Deputy Director in charge of the Department of International Organizations, to hold the position of Director of the Department of International Organizations.
Appoint Mr. Pham Binh Dam - Deputy Director of the National Translation and Interpretation Center, to hold the position of Director of the National Translation and Interpretation Center;

On the afternoon of May 16, the Ministry of Home Affairs announced and awarded decisions to appoint leaders and managers at the department level and equivalent to 4 officials who were elected in the 2018 leadership recruitment exam of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Immediately after the exam results were announced, the Party Committee of the Ministry held a meeting and agreed 100% with the exam results of the Examination Council. At the same time, it requested the Minister of Home Affairs to sign a decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy as Deputy Chief of the Ministry Office; Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh as Deputy Head of the Department of Local Government; Mr. Tran Ngoc Huy as Deputy Chief Inspector of the Ministry; and Ms. Nguyen Huyen Hanh as Deputy Director of the Institute of State Organizational Sciences. These are the 4 officials with the highest results among the 14 candidates taking the exam.
The Prime Minister appointed the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade and reappointed the Deputy Minister of Transport.

Specifically, in Decision 529/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Dang Hoang An, Member of the Board of Members, General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.
Mr. Dang Hoang An was born in 1965, his hometown is Bac Giang province. Before being appointed Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Dang Hoang An held the following positions: Deputy Director of the National Power System Control Center; Head of EVN Power Grid Technical Department; Deputy Director of Power Transmission Company 1; Head of EVN Planning Department; Deputy General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group and then General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group.
In Decision 525/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister reappointed Mr. Le Dinh Tho to the position of Deputy Minister of Transport.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province Dinh Van Thu has decided to transfer Chief Inspector of Quang Nam province Dang Phong to hold the position of Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, replacing Mr. Le Phuoc Hoai Bao who has just been disciplined.
Previously, in Decision No. 521/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the results of the election of additional Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province for the 2016-2021 term for Mr. Tran Van Tan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office. Mr. Tran Van Tan was born on May 30, 1979, in Que An commune (Que Son district, Quang Nam); joined the Party on June 13, 2005, has a doctorate in law, advanced political theory, bachelor's degree in English, and a French language certificate from the Francophone Community.

On the afternoon of May 15, the Con Cuong District Party Committee and People's Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision to approve the election results for the position of Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Con Cuong Town People's Committee for Mr. Mai Quang Hoi.
The Standing Committee of Con Cuong District Party Committee also made a decision to transfer the Chairman of the Town People's Committee, Ms. Lu Thi Le Hang, to the position of Vice Chairman of the District Fatherland Front Committee. Mr. Mai Quang Hoi used to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Con Cuong Town People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term.
