Appoint Mr. Ngo Van Tuan as Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission

On the morning of January 16, 2017, the Central Economic Committee held a conference to implement the Secretariat's decision on personnel work, and to present the Secretariat's decision on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Ngo Van Tuan - Director of the Department of Finance of Banks and Financial Institutions, Ministry of Finance, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee.

Head of the Central Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh congratulated the new Deputy Head of the Commission Ngo Van Tuan.

According to information from the Central Economic Committee, Mr. Ngo Van Tuan is a capable person, has basic training, and has a lot of experience in state management practices... Mr. Ngo Van Tuan's assignment as Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee will help Mr. Tuan continue to promote his knowledge and experience.

Speaking at the Conference to implement the decision of the Secretariat, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized that the Secretariat's assignment of Mr. Ngo Van Tuan to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee is the Central Committee's recognition and appreciation of Mr. Ngo Van Tuan's contributions during his time working at the Ministry of Finance as well as in his previous positions.

The Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee also acknowledged the contributions and highly appreciated the capacity and qualities of Mr. Ngo Van Tuan. At the same time, he believed that in his new position, Mr. Ngo Van Tuan would continue to promote his capacity, qualities, and intelligence, strive to excellently complete the assigned tasks, to contribute to the overall development of the country, worthy of the trust of the Party and the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Committee Ngo Van Tuan thanked the Politburo and the Secretariat for their attention and the warm welcome of the Central Economic Committee. Mr. Tuan emphasized that this is a very honorable and difficult task, but under the trust and responsibility, Mr. Tuan promised that he would try his best, focus on learning knowledge and experience to apply to work, and be ready to accept all tasks assigned by the Committee.

The Central Economic Commission's strengthened leadership team will help the Commission better perform its functions and tasks. Mr. Ngo Van Tuan was born on August 2, 1971.

Hometown: Tien Du District - Bac Ninh Province; member of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Master of Economics in Italy (majoring in Finance - Banking for Development); senior in Political Theory.

Mr. Ngo Van Tuan has held many management positions in the financial sector (Deputy Head of the Financial Policy Department, Head of the Ministry Office; Deputy Chief of the Ministry of Finance Office - Assistant to the Minister of Finance; Party Cell Secretary, Head of the Department of Finance of banks and financial institutions).
