Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development: People decide on mining outside forest areas
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Ha Cong Tuan has just signed a document to send to localities on strengthening forest protection and management and traceability of peach trees planted by people on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2021.
Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development received a document from the People's Committee of Son La province on instructions on the procedures for exploiting and certifying peach trees planted by people. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that thepeach tree exploitation, apricot trees and some trees planted outside the area of protective forests, special-use forests, and natural forests planted by organizations, households, and individuals with their own capital as decided by the forest owner.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development requests the People's Committees of provinces to strengthen direction and management at the grassroots level; to propagate and mobilize people not to take advantage of cutting and destroying forests. Localities, depending on specific conditions, can apply appropriate measures to confirm the origin and source in the near future, but not create additional administrative procedures that cause congestion in the production and consumption of legal products.
In fact, surveys in some provinces such as Son La, Lao Cai... local leaders all confirmed that there are no wild peach trees growing in natural forests. Wild peach trees are just a name and in fact this is a peach variety grown by people on agricultural land or production forests...
