The Ministry of Home Affairs has just sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs regarding the exchange of weekly days off during the 2017 holidays and Tet.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Home Affairs agrees with option 1 of the draft, Lunar New Year holiday "last 2 days of Binh Than year and first 3 days of Dinh Dau year", no swapping of holidays.

Civil servants and public employees take Lunar New Year holiday from Thursday, January 26, 2017 to Wednesday, February 1, 2017 (Civil servants and public employees take 7 days off. Because the 1st and 2nd days of Lunar New Year, January 28-29, 2017, fall on Saturday and Sunday, which are weekends), this is a suitable option.

For the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day: Thursday is a holiday, with 1 alternate working day on Friday. According to the plan of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, 1 working day will be exchanged with 1 weekly day off and will work on Saturday, April 15, 2017 to compensate for the day off on Friday, April 7, 2017.

Number of consecutive days off: 4 days from April 6 to April 9, 2017. The Ministry of Home Affairs also agrees with this plan.

On Victory Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1), the Ministry of Home Affairs also agrees with the holiday plan of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. 4 days off from April 29, 2017 to May 2, 2017.

On the occasion of the National Day holiday on September 2, the Ministry of Home Affairs also agreed with the proposal of a 3-day holiday from September 2, 2017 to September 4, 2017.
