(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2020), on the afternoon of July 17, the Policy Department - General Department of Politics, authorized by the Ministry of National Defense, presented shared equipment and medical equipment to the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center and the Provincial Nursing Center for Meritorious People.

Major General Tran Quoc Dung - Director of the Policy Department, General Department of Politics, on behalf of the Ministry of National Defense, presented gifts, medical equipment and sent greetings and encouragement to the wounded and sick soldiers being treated at the centers. At the same time, he sent thanks to the Board of Directors and staff at the centers, who have worked hard and arduously to take care of the wounded and sick soldiers.

Nghe An province currently has 2 units caring for war invalids, seriously ill soldiers, and relatives of martyrs, which are the War Invalids Nursing Center and the Mental Health Nursing Center, with nearly 150 subjects; there is a nursing center for people with meritorious services that provides rotational nursing care for more than 7,000 subjects/year... Over the years, the centers have always received attention, support, and assistance from all levels and sectors in all activities to complete the work of treatment, nursing, and health care for people with meritorious services in the area.

Over the past years, the Ministry of National Defense has supported shared equipment, medical equipment and tailored military uniforms for wounded and sick soldiers at a number of centers with a total amount of over 66 billion VND...

In 2020 alone, the Ministry of National Defense continued to support the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center and the Provincial Center for Nursing for Meritorious People with medical equipment including: spinal, neck, back traction machines; back, neck, shoulder, nape massage belts; infrared treatment lamps; 11-parameter urine testing machine; desktop blood pressure and heart rate monitors; electroshock machines...) worth more than 2 billion VND.
