Singer Quang Le must pay $18,000 in compensation for canceling show without apology

The consequence of canceling the show was a surprise lawsuit from the organizer's lawyer, demanding $18,000 in compensation, 3-4 times his salary for that event. Faced with this situation, due to his tight schedule, Quang Le decided not to go to court and accepted the compensation. He explained that hiring a lawyer to sue back and forth would cost more than the compensation, so he chose to "pay quietly".

The male singer said that a few years after the incident, when he met the show producer again, he still talked normally and even proactively asked to be invited to sing: "I said why don't you invite me to sing? If you sue me and take my money, then invite me to sing."

As a result, the show organizer invited Quang Le to sing again, and he accepted, but increased his show fee by 1,000 USD compared to the usual price. This person still happily accepted that price.

Looking back on the incident, Quang Le admitted that he was wrong because "there was no reason to cancel the show" and had to take responsibility for his actions. He learned a profound lesson about humility and professional behavior: "If I hadn't kept quiet and talked properly and apologized, I would have just given him $5,000 and he would have forgiven me. But because I was stubborn and thought I was famous, I changed after that."

Talking to Quang Le, comedian Thuy Nga commented: "Sometimes lessons must happen to change the wrong things about yourself. If Quang Le does not change, Quang Le's challenge will be even higher."
