Minister of Industry and Trade works with Nghe An province
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 25, a working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade led by comrade Tran Tuan Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister worked with Nghe An province.
Receiving and working with the delegation were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

In the first 6 months of the year, Nghe An's industrial production index increased by approximately 18% compared to the same period in 2017. Industrial production value reached over 24,000 billion VND. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is estimated at over 32,000 billion VND, an increase of over 12% compared to the same period.
In particular, after 5 years of implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo on developing Nghe An until 2020, Nghe An industry has made great strides, attracting a number of large projects with driving factors such as: corrugated iron, steel, cement, processing of planted forest wood...

Besides industry, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh affirmed: trade and services are the top development priorities of Nghe An in the coming time. And it is clear that the current results have not met the development goals of the province.
The biggest current problems in transport infrastructure and seaports are being completed by the province, but Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh also hopes that the Ministry of Industry and Trade will pay attention to and support the province in realizing three international infrastructures of seaports, airports and Thanh Thuy border gates according to the Prime Minister's conclusion when working with Nghe An. These are necessary conditions for Nghe An to attract key projects, creating a driving force for the province to develop breakthroughs.
Along with that, the province also hopes that the Ministry will actively coordinate and support mechanisms to create breakthroughs in industry and trade.

Acknowledging the positive economic and social results that Nghe An province has achieved recently, Minister Tran Tuan Anh emphasized: In the context of fluctuations in the domestic and foreign markets, the province needs to continue to strengthen efforts to remove difficulties, reform administration, implement and build policies for development.
If the province has tried to overcome the shortcomings but has not been able to resolve them, the Ministry is ready to coordinate, discuss, adjust, and even propose to abolish them.

In order for Nghe An to further promote its position on the national industrial map, Minister Tran Tuan Anh and members of the working delegation noted: Nghe An needs to continue to promote its strengths in attracting investment; to achieve the goals and priority foundations in industrial development, promote the role of strategic investors, the institutional apparatus must be truly ready, interact well with the business community; pay attention to and prioritize environmental and technological issues of each project.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is always ready to accompany, support and guide the province in building a value chain associated with the Nghe An brand, especially digital economy, e-commerce as well as integration with the 4.0 industrial revolution...
At the meeting, Minister Tran Tuan Anh assigned the local Department of Industry and Trade to be the focal point directly responsible for connecting with the province to implement coordination programs. Some recommendations of Nghe An province on removing difficulties in restoring the rural power grid, adding to the list of power supply for rural, mountainous and island areas; implementing special policies after hydropower projects... were also explained and guided by the working group for implementation in the coming time.
