Accompanying the delegation, on the side of Military Region 4 were Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Military Region; Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Military Region. Minister Ngo Xuan Lich and the delegation respectfully offered gifts, flowers, and incense to express their infinite gratitude and deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of our Party and people, national liberation hero - world cultural celebrity, and beloved Father of the Vietnamese People's Armed Forces.

In commemoration of Him, Minister of National Defense Ngo Xuan Lich wrote in the memorial book at Kim Lien relic site, the content of which reads: “… We vow to study and follow His ideology and great example for the rest of our lives; to build the Vietnam People's Army to constantly grow and develop, to firmly protect the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; to be worthy of His sacred teachings: “Our army is loyal to the Party, filial to the people, ready to fight and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for socialism; to complete any task, overcome any difficulty, and defeat any enemy”; to be worthy of the noble qualities and glorious traditions of Uncle Ho's soldiers”.
