(Baonghean.vn) -During his working visit to Nghe An province, on the morning of May 18th, Comrade Giang Seo Phu, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Minister and Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities Affairs, and his delegation visited Squadron 2, Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station, under the Nghe An Border Guard Command. Accompanying him were Comrade Luong Quang Kinh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Ethnic Minorities Affairs Committee, and representatives from the Provincial Border Guard Command.

At Squadron 2 of the Nghe An Border Guard, the unit's leadership reported to the Minister and the delegation on the unit's achievements in building the unit, maintaining security, protecting territorial sovereignty, combating various types of crime, helping people overcome poverty, building new rural areas, and preventing and responding to storms and floods, as well as search and rescue operations.

Minister Giàng Seo Phử commended and highly appreciated the spirit of overcoming difficulties, enhancing responsibility, readiness to fight, close ties with the people, and excellent performance in fulfilling the task of firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the border along the sea and port checkpoints of the border guard units of Nghe An province. He expressed his hope that in the coming time, the officers and soldiers of Border Guard Squadron 2 of Nghe An will uphold the heroic traditions of the Border Guard force, strive to overcome difficulties, actively assist the people, and excellently fulfill the tasks entrusted by the Party, State, Army, and people. On this occasion, the Minister presented gifts to the officers and soldiers of Border Guard Squadron 2 of Nghe An province and signed the unit's traditional golden book.

On the same day, Minister Giàng Seo Phử also visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the Cửa Lò-Bến Thủy Port Border Guard Station, Nghệ An Border Guard Command.
